Astrological Forecast: December 2019

We find ourselves ending the decade atop a vast mountain of energy. Jupiter joins Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn at the start of the month, along with all inner planets except Mars transiting throughout the month. On December 26th we have an annular solar eclipse in Capricorn which also conjuncts Jupiter, kicking off a dramatic eclipse season and New Year.Jupiter is the planet of luck, expansion, and spiritual growth. On December 2nd, Jupiter is leaving its native sign, Sagittarius, and enters into the Capricorn. Saturn or Capricorn energy is all about earning, and can therefore be a bit withholding or restrictive—which has some people concerned we are coming into a spell of misfortunes. But this transit might actually just be a lucky break, particularly with how Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn has been pushing many of us to our limits for over a year now. Jupiter is also exerting a lot of influence during the solar eclipse on December 26th. Eclipses are extremely powerful times, which can reveal or rapidly bring about significant changes to our daily lives. Jupiter will be conjunct the Sun and Moon within a single degree. New Moons are always a great time to manifest, but the potential of this eclipse is fortuitously expansive. Even if you don't really observe the lunar cycles or work with the law of attraction, this may just be the perfect occasion for you to begin! At the start of this year, the Wheel of Fortune (which is actually associated with Jupiter!) was featured as one of the cards in my general collective card reading post for 2019, and this December certainly feels like we are taking one final spin before setting off into 2020. Of course, even with this eclipse, I will give fair warning that the weeks leading up to and following eclipses are often accompanied with endings or loss, particularly around a lunar eclipse, which will occur on January 10th. We'll be clearing out whatever dust 2019 has kicked up and making space for the new. We are also very much in Capricorn season, which means there will be tests and lessons, especially with the closing out of cycles.
