An air of power, authority, and determination often exudes from the red aura. Red individuals are usually honest, passionate, loyal, and fiercely protective of those they hold dear. They tend to have a prominent orientation towards physicality, which is often expressed through athleticism, sexuality, or both. These strong personalities typically feel quite solid in what they believe, often to the point of being stubborn. Accountability is usually of the utmost importance to them. When they are resolved in who they are, they are able to receive and implement constructive feedback well, and generally appreciate direct communication. People with red in their aura typically see little point in dancing around subjects or wasting time with formalities. While anger issues are very common for them, others often misinterpret them as angry when they are simply focused on completing a task or reaching a resolution. They tend to be pragmatic and prefer to focus on what is tangible. This aura color frequently appears around athletes, first responders, military personnel, politicians, and managers. A genuinely confident red person is usually invigorating and uplifting—they are not threatened by the successes of other people, nor do they derive their sense of power by diminishing or reducing the status of others. However, these people often relish a good challenge, so much so that a routine task or leisurely activity often becomes a competition with them. They love to push themselves and others to be and do their best, which is probably one of the reasons why many of them end up in facilitator or leadership roles.
Red people usually stick to what is tried and true for them, which often leads them to uphold the traditions and values they were raised with. Of course, if a belief or practice does not resonate or seem useful, it will almost certainly be disregarded or dismissed. Reds often seem distrustful or even afraid of the supernatural on some level. Many of them identify as skeptics, agnostics, or atheists. Those who are spiritual tend to only care for teachings or doctrines to the degree in which they are practicable or useful to daily life. These people often refer to their intuition as “instinct” or a gut feeling. One of the gifts of the red aura is a knack for being at the right place at the right time—as if something in their bodies just tells them to take the seat on the train next to the CEO who offers them a lucrative job or the talent agent that lands them a career-making gig. They can be potent manifestors, as their self-belief and determination to see a vision into reality is unparalleled by most other aura colors. Most people wouldn’t consider this knack a psychic ability, because the red person isn’t consciously aware of it, but the level of synchronicity in their life is often incredible. Of course, many of them do seem to be drawn to disasters and accidents as well, but one could argue that is because they are designed to be the first responders within the aura spectrum. Many people with a red aura report having dreams of disasters or accidents before they occur, or otherwise seem to possess some sort of “danger sense.” Perhaps more so than other colors, a red aura person needs to take care of their physical body to develop or maintain intuitive clarity.
People with red auras often deal with circulatory issues such as heart problems or blood disorders—which is often exacerbated by their temper. As they tend to be very physical people, they also seem more prone to injuries such as broken bones and torn muscles or ligaments. Many of them work in potentially life-threatening professions such as firefighting or emergency response. Sometimes toddlers and very young children add red to the outside of their aura, as if to help orient themselves to the physical body while learning to walk, run, climb, and gain a sense of independence. One could say that this color is the energetic representation of the “terrible twos.” Strenuous activity and exercise is particularly important for the health of red aura individuals, as it helps to release excess or pent up energy and maintain balance in their system.
While they often achieve great things, these headstrong personalities can just as easily get in their own way and become their own worst enemy. Anger issues can disrupt all areas of their lives if they are not mindful. When they feel threatened or insecure they can become aggressive, combative, and get caught up in power trips. At the core of red personality is the need for stability—which they often attempt to achieve through control. As fearless as they may seem from the outside, nothing terrifies the red aura person more than feeling powerless. Yet the unwillingness to feel vulnerable is the very thing that makes a red lash out. Anger is an emotion that helps us feel powerful and push forward in situations which we perceive as a threat or a loss of control. Perhaps the greatest act of courage for the red person is to open up or ask for help when needed.
Very often a red person will try to deny or suppress their emotions so as not to inconvenience others, but end up erupting in a much more explosive fashion than if they had just addressed their feelings in the first place. Reds usually express care through acts of service or offering undivided presence, which can leave some of their more verbal loved ones feeling that they don’t care—which is the furthest thing from the truth. Reds can be some of the most loyal friends, partners, and family members in the aura spectrum. It was likely a red person who first uttered, “Actions speak louder than words.” Although many of them should also be mindful of the tendency to speak over people. While they can come across as being hard on others, it is usually because they recognize what they are capable of and want to help them actualize their potential. The more these people learn to communicate in an affirming way, the greater they become at being of service to something greater than themselves—which is often what matters most to them deep down.
