Chartreuse people generally seem to function on another level and independent of others. Many of them can be found working in science or tech fields, either working behind the scenes or climbing to the top of ladder. Yet this color can also be found around survivalists, outdoors enthusiasts, and those drawn to rustic or primitive lifestyles. Chartreuse personalities are naturally resourceful and make efficient use of what is presently available—whether that is operating within computer hardware specs or code, or using the environment to create shelter or makeshift tools. Perhaps it comes as no surprise that these people often love to challenge themselves and work within limits—this is where their creative problem-solving can truly flourish. They seem to collect a wide array of knowledge and information, and possess the sharp minds and clear memories to process and retain all of it. Many people might envy them at first, but truthfully, this color does not really loan itself to working or socializing with others. It can be hard to really get to know a chartreuse person well.
This highly cerebral personality tends to be careful not to let emotions cloud their perceptive mind. They usually discuss things in objective terms: facts, figures, and dates. By nature, they are troubleshooters, and are going to be the type of people who will speak up when they see something that is not running smoothly in their eyes—which many people find irritating or take personally. The chartreuse personality often comes up against social barriers after unwittingly challenging the way things have always been done with a more efficient or effective solution. Yet it is rarely a personal affront on the part of the chartreuse individual, they are most often genuinely trying to be helpful. The tendency for this color to be a loner may actually be perpetuated by frequent and mutual misunderstandings with others. Most of the time they don’t seem to take too much heart to others’ reactions, and may even accentuate their differences or make themselves stand out in more obvious ways. At their best, they can be avant-garde and set trends.
While they are generally not the type to choose fashion over function, that doesn’t mean a chartreuse person won’t take creative liberties with artistic expression or design when given the opportunity. Similar to the magenta aura, chartreuse personalities do not confine themselves with expectations or social conventions, and are very capable of creating something totally unique if inspired to do so. Think Alienware computers and viral life hack videos. Many seem to have a highly developed geometric and spatial awareness, and are quite capable of devising unique forms. When this color appears around an artist or creative person, it typically indicates that they are very calculated and detail-oriented with their craft.
Chartreuse is an interesting and unique aura color, and not exactly the same as someone who has a combination of green and yellow (many greens take on yellow to be more successful). More often than not this color appears as inauthentic or unhealthy expression around someone who is trying to come across as self-sufficient or not expressing their emotions. A true chartreuse person is not trying to be successful or achieve, although these things can come naturally to them. A chartreuse person is usually more frustrated by the fact other people can’t seem to keep up with them, or even assume that other people don’t care as much as they do, when the reality is that other colors just aren’t capable of the same output they are. Many seem to suppress the deep grief of being constantly misunderstood, or have no real concept or sense of how it could feel to be understood by another person. None-the-less, a chartreuse person would likely find some resonance in reading the descriptions for the yellow and green auras.
Usually chartreuse is a color that appears around the aura, rather than a primary color within it. A genuine chartreuse aura is actually fairly uncommon. Humans evolved as a social species, so it does not often make a whole lot of sense for someone to incarnate as one to be mostly self-sufficient. Yet our consumerist society has programmed us to value accomplishing everything for ourselves—but even that is an illusion. We are a part of the interdependent system of nature. All our resources come from somewhere and were harvested by someone. We live in a time in history where it is very easy to forget or not even know where all the things in our lives and homes have come from. A lot of the unhealthy expressions of this color reflect someone who has been conditioned to believe they must be independent at all costs. An aligned chartreuse person does not just work for themselves, but goes off to accomplish great and necessary things most people simply do not have the energy for. A person with chartreuse in their aura will often find great fulfilment in living to an ideal or solving problems, rather than trying to meet the emotional needs of a community. Progress, ecological sustainability, access to life-changing technology; these are things a chartreuse person can connect with and vigorously work towards.
